Travel Info
- An e-visa is required to enter Vietnam. See below for instructions.
- Nam Dinh (wedding location) is about 1.5 hours driving from Hanoi. Shuttles can be arranged as needed. If you need help with flights, etc., contact May or Sam.
- There’s lots to do in Hanoi, and several tourist attractions within a few hours driving. Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay are both good options.
E-Visa
- Visit this government website to apply for a single entry e-visa. There are non-government agencies that are slightly simpler, but cost more and don’t benefit much: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/khai-thi-thuc-dien-tu/cap-thi-thuc-dien-tu
- The uploaded picture’s aspect ratio should be 4x6 (for example, 1000 pixels wide and 1500 pixels tall), with a white background, neutral facial expression, and whole face clearly visible (no hats).
- Place of birth can be e.g. USA or Taiwan (state/city isn’t necessary). For religion, None is acceptable (or anything else). For single entry, “From” is date you’ll arrive (or earlier). “To” should be 30 days after your entry date. You can enter any day during that period.
- Choose “tourism” for purpose of entry. You can skip the section about agency/hosting organization.
- For “Intended temporary residential address”, you can use Nam Cuong hotel (or the hotel you’re staying at). The address is: “538 Trần Hưng Đạo"
- You can purchase travel insurance if you’d like, and fill in the details at the bottom of the page. Many credit cards provide basic travel insurance as well.
